Divergent

Divergent helps those on the autistic spectrum to increase their employability using digital inclusion. We help them to create, grow & monetize their website. We use the fine art of personal branding to increase confidence, credibility and congruency.

20% GCSE students with autism achieved 5 A*-C grades including Maths and English compared to 65% of their counterparts. The lack of resources in education due to various factors make it increasingly difficult to compete in the marketplace if it is based on GCSE grades alone.

Writing your thoughts on paper as a diverse learner is a challenge that many take for granted. With a world that craves creativity yet want’s it presented in written form this can mean a diverse learner’s creativity is never seen. Divergent is a project that uses digital inclusion to tackle many of these issues and more. "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin We teach people on the ASD spectrum create their online presence using their own personal website as their brand name so they can use the skills taught in core lessons more purposefully using active learning.

“Individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) need to get creative and find ways to discover employment or educational opportunities without going through the traditional front-door route of interviews or entrance exams. I never sold a single design job in my cattle equipment design business by doing an interview; I sold jobs by showing a portfolio of my work to the managers of packing plants and feedlots. I learned early in my career that if I showed drawings and photos of my work to the right person, I could get a job.” Temple Grandin – Successful Entrepreneur (on ASD spectrum)

Effective Copyrighting

“After seeing a person’s strong portfolio, a top professor in math, art, physics, or creative writing who believes in that student will find a way to get him into the university even though that student may have failed in other academic areas. Individuals have been accepted into good college programs because they showed their portfolio to the right professor.” Autism Digest
